Heritage Refined- A Buchan Kitchen Remodel
Buchan homes are synonymous with the Pacific Northwest, celebrated for their beautiful architecture featuring steep rooflines, classical brickwork, tall ceilings, and expansive floor plans. However, like many homes of this style, the original kitchen layout was too small and lacked the functionality needed for today’s modern family.
To address this, the design solution included a 107 sq. ft. addition, seamlessly incorporating the existing dining nook into the new kitchen floor plan. The transformation centers around a spacious island with a prep sink, providing both additional workspace and a natural gathering spot. A custom matching range and hood create a striking focal point, while brass Waterstone faucets, integrated appliances, and thoughtfully designed cabinetry add both elegance and efficiency. The result is a beautifully reimagined kitchen that honors the home’s architectural heritage while enhancing everyday living.
